When it opens in mid-2023, Perth's only Asylum escape room will play at our Escape This Northbridge centre in the Perth CBD's Northbridge entertainment precinct.

Asylum has a difficulty rating of 8 out of 10.  With complex puzzles, the focus is still on fun, interactivity, and immersiveness... but with some added challenge thrown in for good measure. Asylum provides an outstanding balance between completing the game without too much frustration and giving players a thrilling experience. Learn more about our difficulty levels here.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Asylum is strictly an 18+ room, and we reserve the right to check ID before admitting players to the room.

Children as participants or spectators are not permitted in our 18+ Horror rooms. No exceptions will be made.

When bookings open, the simplest way to book Asylm is to check availability and book online here. Our website shows live  escape room availability and all bookings are confirmed immediately. It's the quickest and best way to secure your desired time slot.

At Escape This, all bookings are exclusive to your group. This has always been (and will remain to be) our policy before, during and after Covid.

If you want to be locked in a room with a group of people you have never met before (some people do!) then we recommend you try another escape room experience provider.

Absolutely, if you want to book multiple escape rooms, including Asylum, to start at the same time. Please use our multi room booker to check availability and place a booking. 

You'll have one hour from entering the padded cell to escape! We recommend you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time and if you allow for 15 minutes afterwards, to catch your breath and debrief, your whole experience will last around 90 minutes. If, however, you are amongst the lucky few that escape Asylum then your time with us may be a little shorter! 

Asylum can accommodate between 2 nd 4 players. No more, no less.

Our group limits are set to optimise gameplay and ensure a truly immersive experience for all our guests. Fortunately for you, it is company policy to never compromise on your gameplay experience so these limits are NOT flexible! 

If your group is larger than 4 players we suggest that you book multiple rooms to start at the same time and split your group across the rooms. Thus ensuring the very best experience for everyone in your group.

Spoken cues and clues are a key element of our escape rooms. Presently, these cues are only available in English, though we are working towards multi-language options. To ensure the best escape experience in the meantime, we recommend that the majority of your player group should be fluent in English.

Asylum is a very challenging, not to mention EXTREME, escape room experience and we recommend that you already have some experience in escape rooms before attempting this room. For first time escapers, we would recommend trying Bank Heist or The Wizards Chamber.

Like all escape rooms, Asylum is a controlled lighting environment. It may feature periods of complete darkness and/or flashing lights. Similarly, you might experience confined spaces and/or jump scares during your escape. If you have any concerns or questions, please raise these with our Gamesmasters at check-in.
