Frequently Asked Questions
-
What can I expect from the event?
Each Escape This experience is a 60-minute, fully immersive adventure that places you inside a cinematic story. Working as a team, you’ll explore detailed environments, uncover clues, solve puzzles, and interact with the space around you to progress through the narrative. Every challenge is designed to move the story forward — so you’re not just solving puzzles, you’re actively shaping your journey through the experience.
For specific themes, difficulty levels, and story details, we recommend visiting the individual experience page on the Escape This website or viewing the listing on Fever.
-

Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
Spoken cues and clues are a key element of our escape rooms. Presently, these cues are only available in English, though we are working towards multi-language options. To ensure the best escape experience in the meantime, we recommend that the majority of your player group should be fluent in English.
-
How long does the experience last?
All Escape This experiences run for 60 minutes. The only exception is Sherlock Holmes: Telephone, which runs for 45 minutes.
You may finish earlier depending on how quickly your team progresses through the story and completes the challenges.
-
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
We do not sell food or drinks on site, aside from a vending machine available at select venues. Outside food and beverages are also not permitted during standard bookings.
If you are hiring an entire venue for a private event, catering arrangements may be possible. Please contact bookings@escapethis.com.au to discuss your options.
We also have partnerships with a range of local eateries and bars. Feel free to contact us for recommendations or visit our promotions page to view current offers.
-
Is there parking available?
We do not have dedicated on-site parking at our venues. However, there are multiple nearby multi-storey and street parking options within walking distance of each location.
We recommend allowing extra time before your booking to find parking, particularly during peak periods.
-
Will there be additional sessions?
If there are available sessions after your experience finishes, you are welcome to make another booking and continue the adventure. Availability can vary depending on the day and venue, so we recommend checking online or speaking with our team on site.
-
Is there Virtual Reality?
No — Escape This experiences do not use Virtual Reality.
We focus on creating fully immersive, physical worlds using the latest experiential technology, detailed set design, sound, lighting and interactive elements. This means everything you see is real and can often be heard, touched or interacted with as you move through the story.
-
Is there a dress code?
There is no strict dress code. However, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, as you will be moving around and interacting with the environment during the experience.
Many groups also choose to dress up to match the theme of their experience — this is more than welcome and always celebrated!
-
Will there be live performers?
No — our experiences do not use live performers.
However, many of our adventures still feature jump scares, cinematic effects, and dynamic elements designed to heighten tension and excitement as you move through the story.
-
Will there be merchandise for sale?
We do not have a consistent range of merchandise available for purchase. From time to time, we may release special short-run items or limited drops, but we cannot guarantee when or at which venues these will be available.
-
Where can I get tickets?
In the Fever App, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store
On the Fever website
-
Can I purchase tickets at the venue?
You can purchase tickets at the venue. However, tickets may be sold out by the time you arrive, so we highly recommend you book your tickets in advance in order to guarantee your spot. You can purchase tickets in the Fever App (available on Google Play and the Apple App Store) or on the Fever website.
-
Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
You can view your ticket in the Fever app, within the “Tickets” section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us.
-
Do I need to print my ticket?
You can find your ticket in the "Tickets" section of the Fever app (you can download it from Google Play or the Apple App Store). Please remember to log in with the same login method used to make the purchase. You will also find your QR code in your purchase confirmation email.

Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us.
-
Can I make a group booking?
Yes. Each of our experiences has its own room capacity, and you can book any group size within that capacity directly via Fever.
If your group is larger than a single experience allows, or you would like to book multiple experiences at the same time, please contact our bookings team via
Sydney (02) 9173 8535
Perth (08) 6118 0286
We can help organise the best solution for your group and aim to coordinate sessions so your experiences start and finish at similar times.
-
Do you offer press passes?
For all press and media enquiries, including requests for press passes, please contact our Marketing Manager at pip.rabach@escapethis.com.au
-
Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session?
Yes — we recommend arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled session to allow time for check-in and for your Games Master to brief you on how the experience works.
If you are running late, we can hold your session for up to 15 minutes. After this time, we may need to start your experience to avoid impacting sessions booked after yours. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we will still do our best to get you into the experience, however you may not be able to enjoy the full allotted play time.
-
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?
No — animals are not permitted inside our venues, including during experiences.
-
Is the venue accessible?
Accessibility can vary between venues and individual experiences. We recommend checking the specific experience page on Fever or the Escape This website for detailed accessibility information.
If you have any questions or specific requirements, please contact our team and we will be happy to assist.

-
What are the prohibited items at the experience?
To help maintain safety, immersion and the integrity of our experiences, certain items are not permitted inside the rooms. These include:
- Mobile phones and smart watches
- Cameras or recording devices
- Food and drinks
- Large bags, suitcases or bulky personal items
- Alcohol or illegal substances
- Weapons or hazardous items
- Lighters, matches or open flames
- Any items that could damage sets, props or equipment
If you require medical items (such as medication or medical devices), these are of course permitted.
Lockers are available on site where you can securely store your belongings before your experience begins.
-
Do you accept companion cards?
We do accept companion cards with bookings with 3 or more guests, the reason being that there are instances in our rooms where the group is split up from each other. In groups of 2, this would prevent the companion from being able to assist the cardholder, while with a group of three or more guests, we are able to ensure that the cardholder and their companion remain together.
It is for the above reasons that we cannot accept companion cards for booking for the rooms Asylum or Buried Alive under any circumstances, as guests are physically prevented from assisting one another freely for a significant portion of gameplay.
Companions are able to attend free of charge but will still count towards the maximum capacity of a room to ensure we can evacuate everyone safely in the case of an emergency. Companion card tickets are also limited to one ticket per room.
If you have any questions or would like my assistance with placing a booking, just let me know. I will be happy to help.
-
Is the experience accessible for deaf/visually impaired people?
For all of our experiences the story narration and clue system is audio based. Guests who are hard of hearing can still participate with support from other team members. It should not impact overall enjoyment as it’s a team based activity, requireing a wide range of abilities.
-
Will there be strobe lights?
Some of our experiences use controlled lighting effects, which may include periods of darkness and/or flashing or strobe lights. In certain cases, these effects may not be recommended for individuals with light sensitivity or epilepsy.
Lighting effects vary by experience, so we recommend checking the specific experience page on the Escape This website or on Fever for detailed information.
If you have any concerns, please contact our team and we will be happy to assist.
Sydney (02) 9173 8535
Perth (08) 6118 0286
-
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition?
Seating is not consistently available within our experiences, and each adventure may require different levels of movement and mobility as you progress through the story.
We recommend checking the specific experience page on the Escape This website or on Fever for more detailed accessibility and mobility information.
If you have any concerns, please contact our team and we will be happy to assist.

All other experiences are recommended for ages 9+. Children under 9 may still participate if they are part of a family group and accompanied by a parent or guardian.
-
Will there be an audio guide?
